Swimming pools cost a lot of
money to install and their purpose is to be useful, visually pleasing
and to add value to their surroundings. Badly maintained pools however
are not assets and cost their frustrated owners increasingly more
time and money to recondition.
Emptying a pool, acid washing
and sanding the marbelite surface is laborious, time consuming and
costly and should only be undertaken when there is
significant physical damage to the pool lining. This is not a
recommended practice for the removal of algae growth as any
improvement cannot be guaranteed for a
long period.

Green Pool Treatment:
-
This is used to treat swimming pool water against green algae.
It is an extremely effective and cost efficient product and forms the core of our routine
pool water treatment service.
-
This product is added to the pool every second
month to inhibit green algae growth and ensures that the water remains
crystal clear during that period. A mid-sized pool of between 30m3
and 60m3 would typically require a 2½ litre dose.
Treatment of green pools usually starts with a double dose to quickly
normalize the water condition and thereafter continues with single
doses every second month as a preventative measure.
-
The treatment reduces the amount of granular chlorine required by two
thirds to e.g. two cups a week for a 50m3 pool. This results
in a substantial cost saving on other treatment chemicals and a noticeable
reduction in the frequency of treatment of the pool water by the
owner. The product does not contain copper and will not stain marbelite
or fiberglass surfaces.
-
This product produces excellent results and
will, for instance, inhibit sudden algae growth that occurs after
heavy rains dilute pool water causing a rapid pH change. It will even
ensure a clear blue pool during the hottest months in summer and when
the pool is used most frequently by large numbers of bathers.
-
At the outset, our new customers always comment on
the significant improvement in water clarity and are always impressed
by the reduced attention their pools require. Some customers are known
to have left their pools unattended, with the pump switched off while
on holiday, for two weeks and have returned to find a crystal clear
blue pool.
